7 steps to eLearning

1 Review We know that implementing an e-learning programme requires more than simply writing the training material. It needs to be part of an overall training strategy that is designed to give you the best possible results from the highest quality training. We conduct a strategic review of your company, your technical infrastructure and your staff skill levels. Our implementation plan will recommend any steps that may be needed to ensure that e-learning is successful - from changes to your technology to upskilling your staff to be ready for e-learning. We can also assist you in putting together a business case for each e-learning programme.

2 Specification We talk with you to establish what your business training needs are, incorporating any legal and regulatory compliance issues. We look at the skill levels of your employees to determine where they are now and where you would like them to be in the future. Our depth of experience in, and understanding of, both training and technology means that we are confident our training programmes will help you reach your desired end goal.

3 Access We aim to make sure that all your staff can benefit equally from our training programmes. For example, we design our programs to accommodate the needs of those with visual or hearing impairments, and we aim to make our training accessible to disabled staff.

4 Delivery Taking everything into account, we then recommend the best training strategy to achieve your training goals: whether e-learning alone, or e-learning supported by tutor-led learning or other training techniques.

"eLearning is about learning and not about technology."
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), e-Learning: The Learning Curve, January 2007

e-Benefits 2: Access eLearning can improve access to learning for groups such as those with disabilities, minority ethnic groups and people with special educational needs. In addition, e-learning from home can benefit a wide range of staff: those who are disabled and may be unable to attend training venues; those working part-time or shifts; those who are working remotely, and those with caring and family responsibilities.

5 Program design
First of all, we focus on the content of your training program. Our depth of understanding of the process of training and learning ensures that we always design stimulating and effective training programs. Our specialist consultants - all trained to Masters level in their field - bring the industry-specific technical knowledge required to ensure that our training materials are of the highest quality, and that any compliance or technical details are absolutely accurate.

Our team of graphic designers, web designers and animators are experts at translating technical training content into interactive design. They understand that effective e-learning should be engaging and stimulating - leaving the trainees feeling empowered and enthusiastic about their new skills.

6 Implementation Throughout the design and implementation process our project managers will liaise with you to ensure that the project is properly co-ordinated and hits the anticipated delivery time. We will demonstrate each stage of the design to ensure you are happy with the content, the design and the feel of the program. We respond quickly and positively to any feedback, including making any changes that may be necessary. After completing all the necessary tests we then launch the finished e-learning giving you access at anytime, any place.

7 Measurement & monitoring Our programs provide automatic measurement and monitoring to give you information on progress, success rates and the level of competence your staff have reached. You will be able to judge the overall effectiveness of your e-learning programme, and identify any future training needs. We can update your e-learning program as changes to legislation and standards occur.
