Basic Health & Safety (Introduction)

Course Overview

     

    All delegates attending the course will be given a good overall understanding of the importance on health and safety in looking after their wellbeing whilst at work.
Benefits

The course is more flexible than the IOSH Working Safely Course and can therefore be made more specific to meet an organisation's requirements.

 

Course Objectives

    Delegates will take a short test at the end of the course to check. An in house training certificate will be issued to all delegates.

     

    Delegates that successfully pass the course assessment will be given a certificate of achievement and all other delegates a certificate of attendance.

Course Content

    The consist consists of the following;

    • The importance of safety; the importance duties of the employers to manage and the employee to work safely from a legal, economic and moral perspective.
    • An introduction to risk management; what is hazard and risk? How is risk rated? If risk levels are too high introduction of control measures. Practical risk assessment exercises.
    • Safety management system; what is a safety management system? Safety polices, organisation of safety and arrangements such as safe systems of work.

    Course Delivery: can be either in house or at a regional venue.
